As we previously informed you back in May 2021, we are experiencing some of the most severe pressures in Barlow Medical Centres history. GP surgeries across the country are experiencing the same significant and rapidly rising demand. After auditing our daily demand, we are planning to trial the following change to our telephone call back service.
We will no longer offer a call back service between 08:00 – 09:30 Monday to Friday due to the demand as our data shows that we can only safely deal with a limited number of call backs per day and so will be introducing a capping system, and once capacity has been reached you will be asked to call back the following day.
We will continue to manage all urgent problems in working hours as we have throughout the pandemic.
Please consider using our website which is fully accessible from a mobile phone, tablet or computer, and routine medical queries for the doctors will be answered with a call back when necessary.
Choose the most appropriate virtual room for your problem depending on its nature, e.g. clinical problems in “consulting room”, medication related queries in the “medicines & prescriptions centre”, or administrative queries in “reception & enquiries” or “administrative office”
This change will help us deliver a safer and more efficient service to all our patients.
