Dear Patient,
As I’m sure you are all aware, Boris Johnson has confirmed that England’s end of lockdown – initially planned for 21 June – is likely to go ahead on Monday 19 July.
The rules around the wearing of Masks will become voluntary in most settings, including shops, hospitality, and public transport and people will be told to exercise their personal judgement. However, the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have emphasised that its new masking recommendations for people regardless if they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or not do not applyto health care settings. “This means that staff, patients and visitors should continue to wear masks as recommended in all healthcare facilities,”. At David Medical Centre we will be continuing to ask our patients and visitors to respect these recommendations when visiting the Practice for continued safety of our staff, patients, and visitors
Any viral illness can cause severe disruption to our Practice’s medical services and so we will continue to refer to infection prevention and control guidance on recommendations regarding physical distancing in health care settings which means we will be continuing to operate a CLOSED-door policy. Patients will NOT be given entry without prior arrangement. On arrival Patients will still be asked questions regarding Coronavirus before entering the premises.
The vast majority of requests for appointments will still be triaged. However, you can help us to help you by contacting us for non-urgent problems by our website at www.davidmedicalcentre.co.uk
We will keep you informed if any changes are made to the guidance for healthcare settings.
We thank you for your continued support and co-operation.
